Greetings ~

We've all heard the old saying, "The old west was a colorful place." Well, how would we know? All the pictures ever taken in the old west were in black and white. So, Indians, cowboys, horses, cows, buildings, mountains, rivers and everything else were shades of gray. Well, not anymore. Now, cowboys, Indians and the rest are whatever color they were thanks to computers, software and people with the know-how to use them.

Since the colorization of film and photographs, we see our past in a whole new light. This blog is comprised of colorized photos of the old west. Outlaws, lawmen, stagecoaches, covered wagons, towns, buildings, cattle drives, western celebrities, guns, etc. So check them out. You'll get a whole new perspective on how the old west appeared to the men and women who lived there.
